Full Dentures

Also called Complete Dentures, are dentures used to replace a full arch of teeth that are missing. They can be used on either the top or bottom arch, or both. These are custom-made for each patient, and they will restore your smile to its original condition without discomfort.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures can be used to fill in gaps left by missing teeth. The partial denture will not only fill in the gap left by missing teeth, but also prevent any rotation or shifting of the adjacent teeth that could affect your facial structure.

When are Complete Dentures Recommended?

A complete denture is a denture used to replace a whole row of missing teeth. They can be removed at night to soak in denture cleaner solution. Complete dentures are less likely to require surgery than dental implants to achieve the desired smile and function. Dentures are made of acrylic, porcelain, or plastic composite. However, acrylic is the best material for dentures because it lasts longer and can be properly maintained.

If your gums are healthy, the process is easy. In some cases, we will need to perform a dental restoration before dentures can fit. These include the removal of any damaged teeth or gums and healing of infections. We also check for other potential problems that may arise in the future. After your checkup and the resolution of any issues, we will make impressions and take measurements to ensure that your dentures fit perfectly. Dentures are made according to your needs and desired outcome. Dentures need to be cleaned every day with a denture friendly cleaner, and then placed in denture solution over night. Even with the best care, denture repairs may still be necessary for various reasons.

What are standard dentures?

Standard dentures are dentures that have the most generic features. Standard dentures offer a limited range of options for the patient to select the color and shape of their teeth. The basic, affordable denture tends to wear out faster than other options. Standard dentures, when properly maintained, can last for several years. However, they will begin to wear and stain over time.

It is possible that this type of denture will require more adjustments because the patient must try it out for a shorter period. Once the patient has a better understanding of how they fit in their mouths, we can adjust them to make them more comfortable.

What are Precision Dentures?

Precision dentures fit more precisely than standard dentures to provide comfort and functionality. A patient receiving precision dentures will have their mouth measured and an impression taken. A second impression will be taken after the initial one. The measurements are then used to customize your precision dentures.

Precision dentures are preferred by many patients because they are more comfortable and designed to move along with your jaw. This will allow you to have a greater range of motion while eating or talking. Precision dentures not only ensure natural jaw function and movement, but also help to shape your face and make you smile naturally. They also require less adjustments due to their durability and accuracy.
